I will be in 81 st year then… God and my health willing that is…
Life is unpredictable. Plans change, circumstances shift, and we find ourselves in unexpected situations. But no matter where we are, we have the power to shape our future and create a better tomorrow.
As a young entrepreneur, I was full of optimism and confidence. I believed that success was just around the corner and that I would achieve greatness in no time. But reality hit hard, and I found myself struggling to make ends meet. When asked where I saw myself in five years, I responded with bravado, promising that I would deliver results that would impress even the toughest of bosses.
Fast forward a few decades, and I find myself in a very different place. My health is fragile, and my days are numbered. But even in the face of adversity, I remain optimistic and focused on the future. I may not have achieved everything I set out to do, but I am proud of the life I have lived and the people I have touched along the way.
So where do I see myself in the next ten years? Honestly, I don’t know. But what I do know is that I will continue to strive for excellence, to be kind to others, and to live each day to the fullest. Whether I have one year or ten, I will make the most of the time I have and leave a legacy that will endure long after I am gone.
Now, you might be thinking, “That’s all well and good, but what about your failures? Your setbacks? Your mistakes?” And to that, I say – bring them on! Life is messy, and we all make mistakes. But it’s how we respond to those mistakes that defines us. I have learned from my failures, grown from my setbacks, and emerged stronger from my mistakes.
In the end, it’s not about where we’ve been or where we’re going. It’s about the journey we take, the people we meet, and the impact we make. So whether I’m knocking on a boss’s door or saying goodbye to this world, I know that I have given it my all and lived a life that was truly worth living.
Limericks:
-
The recruiter asked me with a smile “Where do you see yourself in a while?” I replied with a grin “That’s hard to pin, But I’ll make sure to go the extra mile!”
-
As a failed entrepreneur, down on my luck I faced a question that left me struck But with bravado I said “I’ll knock under your chair instead And you’ll move up when you hear my luck!”
-
In my 71st year, with health so frail I can’t predict what the future entails But I’ll take each day with grace And with a smile on my face I’ll say “Fir Milenge” as my tale exhales
