Free Verse Poem

Footprints on the ground, A clue to be found, The detective looked down, And saw something profound.

Six toes, he exclaimed, As his mind quickly framed A picture of the culprit, Who would soon be detained.

The criminal had left their mark, And with each step in the dark, They revealed their unique trait, Which led to their ultimate fate.

So be careful where you tread, For your secrets may be read, In the prints you leave behind, And the clues they may help to find.

Limerick

There once was a detective so bold, Who found footprints he could behold, Six toes were the key, To solving the mystery, And the criminal’s story was told.

Haiku

Footprints in the mud, Six toes left behind a clue, Criminal revealed.
