… that today is Deep Ocean Life Day? In 1985, Science magazine reported the discovery of plant life almost 880 feet deep in the ocean, the deepest plant life ever reported at the time. That was well beyond the limit biologists had set based on the availability of sunlight. It wasn’t difficult to discount photosynthetic life because light there is only 0.0005% than at the surface!
