… that today is Rhea Discovery Day? In 1672, Italian astronomer Giovanni Cassini discovered Rhea, a satellite of the planet Saturn. The moon was named after Rhea, a Greek goddess of the earth and tamer of wild beasts. Trivia fans: Saturn has 83 moons! Sixty-three moons are confirmed and named, and another 20 moons are awaiting confirmation of discovery and official naming by the International Astronomical Union (IAU).
