Did you know…

… that today, besides being Veteran’s Day in the US, is the birthday of Route 66? In 1926, Route 66 was commissioned as the first continuous highway linking Chicago to Los Angeles. Route 66 runs through are Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. The National Trust for Historic Places has listed Route 66 on their America’s Most Endangered List, and designated the road a National Treasure.~~~
