Did you know…

… that today is First Woman Land Speed Record Day? In 1965, Lee Breedlove set the land speed record for women when she drove her jet-powered Spirit of America car at a speed of 308.56 mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. Trivia fans: That record stood for 48 years until October 2013 when Jessi Combs smashed it in her North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger with a speed of 392.954 mph. She then broke her own record in 2016!~~~
