Oldest Human in Space Day

Did you know…

… that today is Oldest Human in Space Day? Nearly four decades after he became the first American to orbit the Earth, Senator John Glenn was launched into space again as a payload specialist aboard the space shuttle Discovery. At 77 years of age, Glenn was the oldest human ever to travel in space at the time. Just recently, William Shatner flew into space and became the oldest man to do so, at the age of 90, with Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin joyride.~~~

Today’s Inspirational Quote:

“Those who contemplate the beauty of the earth find reserves of strength that will endure as long as life lasts. There is something infinitely healing in the repeated refrains of nature — the assurance that dawn comes after night, and spring after winter.”— Rachel Carson
